This one of the most popular Broadway musicals is staged by our theatre for the second time.
The first play was directed by Edward Mitnitskiy and performed in 1987 with Mikhail Vodyanoy as the leading character.
The play was a hit with the publicand the critics. And for Vodyanoy the role of Tevyewas the summit of his success in actor’s career. But in half a year The Master passed away and happy fate of the play was broken off.
And now, 29 years later, “Fiddler on the Roof” is again staged at Odessa
Theatre. It is amazing but now the play’s theme is even more relevant than
ever. Now, to survive humanity needs to learn wisdom from philosophers such as
Tevye who talks to God.
