Exes (small stage)
melodrama
Play by V. Holosnyak, music by V. Manik
The play was written by Volodymyr Holosnyak especially for our theatre. Then Vitaliy Manik composed wonderful atmospheric music for it, which is performed by a musical quartet. And on stage, there are only three actors and a whole universe of human feelings. This is how the play called The Exes was born in the theatre.
This play is about us.
About us during the war.
About us today and in the past.
About our fears and pain, humanity and sense of humour. It's about how not to lose a human being in yourself: to value life, to remember your parents and to be able to listen to your heart, so that you don't suddenly become ‘disposable’ like used dishes.
You will feel all this when you come to this performance on the Stage on the Hill, where not only the love story of a Ukrainian woman and a Pole will unfold before your eyes, but also the delicious bread of our daily life — the one that is in heaven and on earth - will be baked...
