Mikhail Vodyanoy represents the whole era in the theatrical history of Odessa. He served the stage for 40 years, breathed life into dozens of characters, and some of his roles made him a theatrical legend. Odessa Theatre of Musical Comedy was home for Mikhail Vodyanoy, in which he shared all his talents, knowledge, efforts…This play, in memory of the Master, enlivens his best stage images: Popandopulo (“Wedding in Malinovka”), Mishka Yaponchik (“At dawn”), Agabo (“My Heart is Here”), Tzar (“Russian Secret”), Iashka the Tug (“White Acacia”), Tevye (“Fiddler on the Roof”), and Gusyatnikov (“Late Serenade”).
Mikhail Vodyanoy personified the image of Odessa citizen. He always was and still is one of the symbols of Odessa.
