"The Golden Calf is a continuation of the legendary novel The Twelve Chairs, in which, by the will of the authors, their favourite hero, the charming and resourceful swindler Ostap Bender, has been resurrected. We will see what the great combinator is capable of in order to fulfil his dream of taking five hundred thousand on a silver platter and going to Rio de Janeiro, in a mystical tragicomedy that will be performed before your eyes.

This is the first time that our theatre is addressing this material and, we hope, will place its accents in the texts that are familiar and beloved to all.
